Order management is the process of proficiently tracking and fulfilling sales orders. It includes the circle of people, processes, and suppliers to build a positive customer experience. The order management process begins from when a customer places an order, to keeping follow up of that order until it is delivered.
It also involves maintain a record of the customer – which may include their purchase and payment history, and volume of order. Sales departments provide proper information to the warehouse to fulfill the order, and the order is then delivered to the end customer.
